Top senators unveil Pakistan aid overhaul
Washington (AFP) May 4, 2009  Two top US senators unveiled plans Monday to expand and overhaul civilian US aid to Pakistan, calling it an urgent step to help defeat Islamists who threaten the nuclear-armed ally's stability. No, its not a blank check, its a trunk full of cash, handed directly to the Military, for them to dole out to whichever group is not shooting at us today. It doesn't matter if they were shooting at us yesterday or if they will be shooting at us tomorow...We'll give you a handfull of cash and a virgin if you won't shoot us today... |
