Subject Line: Thank you for airing the report on voting irregularities

Mr. Matthews:

Thank you for airing the report on voting irregularities in Ohio.

This is such a critical issue. We, the voters, must be assured that our votes will be counted accurately.

In response to the remark, "a recount in Ohio is a distraction" by the Republican Strategist, I'd like to say, protecting our most important Democratic process, voting, is hardly a diversion.

Sincerely,

I took a different approach than some may have, but I was pleased he aired the report and that he had Joe Trippi on. I think it is FUNNY that the Repub is po'ed about bloggers! HAHAHA!!!

They may not read all of our emails but they do keep a count!!! SEND EM IN!

HERE'S MY EMAIL TO CHRIS AND KEITH

Thanks Chris for addressing the issue. I'm an occasional blogger and I AM AN AMERICAN CITIZEN. May I point out to the "republican talking head" that America's elected officials and the process BY WHICH THEY ARE ELECTED...are ACCOUNTABLE TO ME! Not the other way around. There are too many questions, too many questionable instances in this election to go unnoticed by "inquiring minds". I'm not inured of the Bushworld rhetoric which would tell me that UP is really DOWN and to "PAY NO ATTENTION TO THAT MAN BEHIND THE CURTAIN". This administration and his minions have lied and lied to the citizens they were sworn to serve and I for one have grown tired of their lies and find NO COMFORT in their false assurances.

I am a blogger WHO WANTS THIS ELECTION EXAMINED UNDER A MICROSCOPE! And I think we shall find that once we blow away all of the neo-con smoke and mirrors we will find a well oiled machine that STOLE MY VOTE! I am troubled in the extreme that our Republican Democracy is being subverted and stolen by an Administration that holds our Constitution in contempt. I want to know the truth...and if that makes the Neo-cons uncomfortable...then PRAISE THE LORD! Because if the Neo-Con practice is not stopped in 2004...then when.

I'm not the only one who is bothered by the fact that since Bush & Rove came on the national political scene that SUDDENLY EXIT POLLS DON'T COME CLOSE TO THE VOTE THAT GETS COUNTED (and that always seem to break to the neo-cons)! Is it silly to be suspicious when the CEO of Diebold PROMISES BUSH that he'll deliver the election to him! Is it paranoid to think something evil is afoot when Bush's totals represent one of the most remarkable electoral achievements in U.S. history. Something stinkith to high heaven...and all Americans should be interested in uncovering this SKUNK before he fouls the world.

Sincerely,

That Repub strategist was funny and annoying. They're hoping to cruise through to the inauguration without serious questioning while pretending that this election was nothing short of pristinely perfect.

So without acknowledging that justifiable questions remain unanswered, she lights her eyes up in supposed indignation because so many of those raising questions are computer literate.

It was a nervous and pouting indignation.

If the situation were reversed ...

OMG...CRAIG CRAWFORD SAYS THE DIFFERENCES IN THE EXIT POLLS ARE AMAZING!!!!!!

DID HE GET OFF THE KOOL-AIDE!

AND GO KEITH....did he just say that the argument that the arguments that the exit polls were "honestly wrong" were just hypothosis!...and that we could also assert that it was because of little green men as a reason....

" An unavoidable hypothesis" .... Olberman quotes the U of Pa expert on the odds of exit polls being wrong in Florida, Pennsylvania and Ohio to the degree they have been reported wrong - all on the same night - the odds 250 million to 1.

Although it doesn't make voting fraud an obvious conclusion (I'm paraphrasing), it does make voting fraud an unavoidable hypothesis.

Love it ... rolleyes.gif

Kerry was "in striking distance" in Florida and Ohio, said the Drudge Report. The popular and smutty Wonkette site claimed it had "information" from "little birdies" showing Kerry up 52-47 in Ohio and 50-49 in Florida... This is the kind of stuff we used to run in my aforementioned school paper, when the speculation surrounded who was going steady. The difference is that the bloggers [who] aspire to being a force in our public life .. don't care about the veracity of the stories they are spreading, they do not understand when there is a live hand grenade on their keyboard.

Opinion from PC Magazine: The Zeros vs. the Ones

After witnessing the latest Presidential election process, it's apparent to me that the Internet is turning into a bad dream. Nobody wants to admit it, but the Web's natural ability to remove normal interpersonal structures that prevent society from falling into chaos is not a benefit to anyone. Information revolution notwithstanding, the Internet will prove to be the undoing of society and civilization as we know it. It may not happen today, but it will happen sooner than we think.

What an ASININE comment !!! So people are not divided because of Bush's stupid policies or because of Rove's shameful manipulation and twisting of the rivalry between city and heartland to benefit his master.

No It turns out people are divided because of us, the bloggers. I used to like John Dvorak. Sigh... He goes on and on like a bigoted energizer bunny

I'm glad it's being reported. I didn't care for the political analyst named Craig. He is a goof ball and I don't seen why anyone cares what he things. And he had the audacity to say Kerry flip flopped. So I really think we should tell Keith that either get someone else who is credible and serious or we will have to support another channel. I do like Keith. He should have more control over who he lets on his show. Why not get a real intellectual type instead of a "MSNBC political analyst"? Doesn't that sound like bs to you?

If we step back from this for just a moment -- which we should, in between our e-manifestos and our missives -- and take a deep breath, we'll realize how comical these people are, in their pedantic scapegoating. As long as human beings have had a marketplace, they have used it to gather to discuss the events of their times, to share and debate knowledge, to formulate strategies and make decisions, sometimes decisions which go against the narrow partisan interests of corrupted rulers. Nothing has changed, except for the medium of our discourse. We live in that proud tradition, and those who run in fear from our discussions and put us down with this silly luddite claptrap are shamefully mistaken.
