Same thing as I was doing before ....

Living my life ...

The cold weather is coming up here where I am, so my concern is in having enough wood to last the winter ...

And so ...

We have similar priorities.

As if having another presidential election here in America was going to change anything ...

The system doesn't allow for change, Liv.

yes it does change something
perception

and the overall sense that the people fuming the last 8 years have lowered their blood pressure to acceptable levels

(granted some on the other side might now see theirs raise for the next 8 years, but there will always be another election and the pendulum swings back
and forth, assuming the world survives)

We already had a surprise snow here last week, where a few miles further west from me they had 1 foot of snow, so the winter is coming,
but along with the countdown to inauguration day, we have the countdown to pitchers/catchers and the new exhibition season in baseball will be starting

plus football

plus me personally, I watch the pro bowlers for 20 weeks a year, though why they put that on Sundays on ESPN right smack against football is beyond me.
Even the pro bowlers would probably rather be watching the NFL

I don't have a side in politics, graham ...

I don't care who the president is or what color or mix of colors they might be ...

If the president was polka-dotted, it wouldn't matter to me ...

The Constitution and the Republic are the side I am on ...

The president is merely entrusted BY US with its care for four years at a time ...

And the world always survives ...

It is ARROGANT, MILITARISTIC SUPERPOWERS just like ours that don't survive ...

And so ...

So true...I'm comforted that we had a nation like that at one time, but the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" common sense was discarded.

get rid of the last 28 years worth and it might be a better place.

Who is to say the USA needs to be a superpower anyhow

Was it a superpower in the early days?
And who is to say the form of the US needs to stay in the same shape (50 states) forever

It could vary. It could split up somewhat. (a certain Alaska Gov. and her husband would like Alaska to be its own nation)...

Systems are, by definition, in process. They are the interaction of structure and process. Systems
always both maintain themselves and change themselves. We are changing and the rate of change is increasing. What we are usually unsure of is what direction we are going in and how to steer
more purposefully? What is the best strategy and what tactics to use? At this point we don't know
whether we are heading into the worst depression in history and the worst world war in History
or a new age of enlightenment, spreading peace, prosperity and wellness.

I will be having a yard sale this weekend with my SIL myself. But I will continue to keep abreast of the transition from Bush to the Obama administration which I am anxious to see what direction Obama takes us.

Then the holidays are fast approaching. I enjoy spending time with family during that time. It's hard to believe that winter is upon us.

poor North Dakota, they seem to always get that first blizzard

I'll be sleeping easier tonight...

I just purchased a new laptop computer recently. It's going to take a couple of weeks before it arrives. When it does, I'm going to be resuming work on my book.

You have no idea as to what I've been experiencing since I last posted here back in November, 2005.

I can't really explain it, but I can try to write it down.

If nothing else, I have to write it down.

I do have one request however!

Now as you may know, I am not a religious man. Religion has very little to do with my life. I make a point of it.

However, it has come to my attention, that just because you have not seen things with your own eyes, does not mean they do no exist!

This has been my experience.

Hence, "one" of the reasons why I am writing my book.

I just have to get this down in print.

But I do have one request tonight.

Anybody out there, have any faith in the unknown?

If you do, would you mind putting it to some good use tonight?

It seems to me that about the only thing that can go wrong right now is for something completely unexpected to cause a change in our good fortune.

Now I'm not going to articulate what possibly could go wrong. That only starts bad rumors. And I only want to start good ones...!

But if you have even the tiniest bit of faith in the unknown tonight, whether you call that unknown God or Allah or Budda or whatever else...

Would you be so kind as to put in a request tonight that our beloved and hard won President elect and his family as well as his future staff and candidates for his future administration are all kept safe and sound tonight! And perhaps every night over the course of the next four (and hopefully next eight) years!

One other request I might have is that our soldiers and their leaders are no longer lead astray from the high ideals to which their long standing traditions aspire.

I just read all about the conditions and possible mistreatment of the detainees at Guantanamo Bay detention camp and it's making me quite depressed...

How I long to write my book...

Raking leaves. I have two huge sycamore trees and one golden rain tree on my acre and a quarter. Enough said.

I've got closets that need to be purged.

The election distraction is over. I live in a condo so I'm not responsible for yard work. It's getting rather nippy here in NH so the casual outdoor activities of summer have come to a halt.......although hiking is great this time of year......but still more time is being spent indoors.

Bottomline.....no more excuses. Spare time = closet cleaning time.

I have been saying that prayer long before he won. The hope and Joy that came from our win has also heightened our fear of that loss. I will continue to pray for Obama's and his family's safety. pray.gif

The happenings on the national stage have little to do with my life...Thank God!

Mine, too, Frenchy, outside of being a topic of conversation ...

Like when is the last time in history anyone remembers a nation with as much incompetence at the top as ours has ...

And so ...

I'm slowly getting back into a routine. Palin all over the TV is making that transition easy for me. The next 2 weeks I'll spend preparing for my Thanksgiving trip to California, and then I'll be busy with holiday preps. They'll be here before we know it.

Now that the election is over, I'm doing everything I was doing pre-election (other than volunteering for the Obama campaign) but with a much lighter heart. smile.gif

Perry my faith is deep and not tied to a church but a life full of miracles. Not big ones but little ones every day. Well one big one and that is my oldest child who sat up out of a coma and started watching TV.
any way my prayers are out their for you. I concentrate very hard and fill my self with peace, I then fill my heart with a blue light and then send it out there. I have never heard if it has protected but almost regular guarantee the people I pray for say I was thinking about you last night. I then tell them because I was praying for them and they felt it.
