My husband, a 25 year computer programmer, just e-mailed me about the recent Triad changing of the computer data on December 10th (see the recent information on the House Judiciary Democrats site).

"Batteries for computers only weigh a fraction of an
ounce and require less that 1/2 hour to install. The
business about them charging rings false. The only
heavy equipment for older computers are drives and
power supplies. A drive can fit in a pocket; a power
supply cannot. So my assumption was that the company
is now doing a CYA by inserting drives with corrected
data. The implication of leaving the system running
is that either some program was running, or some timer
was running. This brings up more questions than answers."

My comment on this: should we be saying, "Gollum, Gollum, what has he got in his pocketsees?"

OK, I used to work in pharmaceutical manufacturing, so call me anal, but would it not make sense to have certain contols in place to insure that no "adulteration" can take place?

If these machines (and now the replaced drives or whatever) were used in a widescale fraud, they are part of the forensic evidence and should be quarrantined.

I'd hope that Kerry knows this and has taken out some kind of a court order requiring this simple procedure.

Hmmm, if that were the case, would it not make sense to look at time stamps on the data? I am assuming that this is windows based, if so, such a thing can be seen quite easily, if that was not doctored either.

Windows XP if that is what is being used, shows three dates:

Date created
Date modified
Date accessed

What is the operating system again? It would have been best to have used a proprietary one instead. Can you guide me to the information you based your initial posting in?

(I'm sorry if this post appears on other threads. This afternoon I had trouble accessing this site, and didn't know if my post had gotten through or not.)

The affidavit about what happened on December 10th in Hocking County, Ohio.
(I'm sorry that I posted this twice, but today I had trouble reading commongroundcommonsense, and the post did not show up, so I didn't realize that this was posted at all.)

Batteries for computers fit inside the palm of your hand and can be replaced within 10 minutes.
