My favorite along these lines is a story I read (unfortunately there wasn't video available) from a modernizing country. A prominent national politician was invited to speak at the opening of an animal hospital on something like world animal rights day. He didn't know that locals planned to bless and celebrate the opening the traditional way, with animal sacrifice. When he found out it took him several minutes to talk them out of it, sure wish I could've seen the look on his face and the looks during the discussion.
