Danny Boyle's "Slumdog Millionaire" from Fox Searchlight was named the best picture of 2008 by the National Board of Review, while David Fincher nabbed directing honors for "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button."
Top acting honors went to Clint Eastwood for his turn in "Gran Torino" and Anne Hathaway for her perf in "Rachel Getting Married."
Josh Brolin ("Milk") and Penelope Cruz ("Vicki Cristina Barcelona") were tapped for suppoting nods.
The awards will be given out at the board's annual gala Jan. 14 at Gotham's Cipriani 42nd Street.
