According to Mike Allen, Chris Matthews will reportedly announce the signing of a new contract with MSNBC which would effectively end the talk about his potential Senate bid in Pennsylvania.

I think his performance on television shows he isn't even qualified for that job, let alone being a senator. I detest his habit of cutting every guest off and hammering his own opinions -- not a person to work out solutions with, there isn't enough money to persuade me to be a guest with him in charge.
But better he be kept out of Congress, someday the ratings are going to shove him off the show.....did the MSNBC masterminds get their arms twisted enough with his antics and give him a raise in the new contract?

He doesn't have to quit now
The election is not for 2 years...he can stay on MSNBC for a year and a half.
But if he is not running, it must mean Ed Rendell WHO WACO'D AN ENTIRE CITY BLOCK BACK WHEN HE WAS SHIFTY LE MAYOR will be the one.
Arlen Single Bullet Theory is a schmuck. Shifty Rendition is not much better.
