FOLKS WHILE IT'S STILL THE CHRISTMAS (AND I'LL CALL IT THAT YOU CALL IT WHAT YOU WANT) SHOPPING SEASON.

I'M TAKING THE LIBERTY (WO - A NAVY WORD MARINE AND FLYDANGLER) OF RE-POSTING MODERATOR XINLOI'S POST REGARDING HIS OFFER OF A MEMORIAL SWIFTBOAT PICTURE (OF CREWMATES WHO NEVER RETURNED FROM THE NAM) FOR 25 BUCKS

PROCEEDS TO GO TO THE DISABLED AMERICAN VETERANS. (NOT XINLOI wink.gif )

VS. $28,000 ROTTEN CHEESE BURGER WITH AN "ALLEDGE" IMAGE OF THE VIRGIN MARY IN IT blink.gif

THIS IS A FITTING AND PROPER JESTURE ON THE PART OF XINLOI, AND I DECIDED TO REPOST IT AS I HEADED OUT THE DOOR THIS MORNING TO GET MY MONEY ORDER.

THIS IS A MEMORIAL TO THE SWIFTBOAT CREWMAN WHO NEVER RETURNED FROM NAM THAT GETS "ABOVE AND BEYOND" THE SMEAR CAMPAIGN LAUNCHED THE PAST FEW MONTHS. I PERSONALLY BELIEVE THAT ESPECIALLY SINCE JOHN O'NEILL USED THE VIETNAM MEMORIAL AS A BACKDROP TO MAKE HIS ATTACKS AGAINST JOHN KERRY ON BEHALF OF GEORGE BUSH = A PURPOSE FOR WHICH "THE WALL" WAS NEVER - EVER SUPPOSE TO BE MEANT FOR. THE VIETNAM WAS INTENDED TO BE A PLACE OF HEALING = NOT POLITICAL PROTEST. XINLOI HAS COME UP WITH A "PERFECT" JESTURE.

I INTEND SENDING IT ACROSS MY "VETERAN'S ACTIVISTS" NETWORK IMMEDIATELY.

SALUTE TO XINLOI FOR THIS JESTURE AT HEALING. I ALSO "SALUTE" JOE FOR NOWHERE ON HIS WEBSITE OR IN HIS JESTURE "CAPITALIZING" ON OLD GLORY OR HACKING PATRIOTIC TRICKETS.

AGAIN, ALL PROCEEDS GO TO THE "DISABLED AMERICAN VETERANS."

Hi Bobby

I posted this on the "Common Cause Common Sense" forum. I thought you might be interested.

How much will you pay for a Grilled Cheese sandwich

The events of this election and the events of this week have got me to thinking.

Diana Duyser of South Florida (some how I knew it would be a RED state) pawned off a “Grilled Cheese sandwich for a cool $28,000 on Ebay. Of course this was no ordinary grilled cheese sandwich, it came complete with a picture of the Virgin Marry emblazoned on the Crust.

"I would like all people to know that I do believe that this is the Virgin Mary Mother of God," Duyser, a work-from-home jewelry designer said.

GoldenPalace.com, an online casino, turned in the wining bid. In a statement, GoldenPalace.com CEO Richard Rowe said he planned to use the sandwich to raise money for charity.

This got me to thinking; The hell with the sandwich, I want to go for the big fish. I would like to bid on the fry pan. I figure it would be like one of those slot machines. If ya pull the handle enough times ya might get another picture of Mary. Even better yet maybe God or Jesus will pop up on that sucker too. How much do you think a sandwich with Mom, Baby and Pop would fetch?

Not only that if I didn’t get lucky on that roll, I could always take in Pat Robertson for the evening and eat the sandwich so the pan would be cost effective while I am waiting on “The Big Pull”. Better luck tomorrow maybe I will be heading for my computer.

All the bidders will be able to purchase my sandwiches intact also, not like the one Ms Duyser chowed down on (There was a bite missing) before taking the opening bid. Duyser said she took a bite after making the sandwich 10 years ago and saw a face staring back at her.

That happened to me once but it was on a U.S. Navy ship and after I took a bite there was a face staring back at me too. Upon closer examination however, I noticed the face had a body and six legs. I just puked and threw it out. Maybe I should have saved it for Ebay, ya think?

So you all have my pledge, If I can somehow post the winning bid on that fry pan some how and it grills me up three 7’s someday, I’ll check first before I take a bite and wrap that sucker up with my vacuum powered “Seal a Meal” right on the spot. It won’t sit around for 10 years either you can purchase it for a paltry $10,000 plus postage on the bu sundown.

I am getting old now and still waiting for “My ship to come in” and If I get that fry pan I will be delighted, but I aint holding my breath.

So I have another idea to raise some money. (FOR VETERANS AND THE TROOPS!) Actually, I had this Idea some time (long before the election) ago and even shared it with Michael (our leader on this forum). The results of the election put a damper on this idea until I spotted the $28,000 cheese sandwich.

Anyway here it is. As some of you may already know I did, and am still doing my part to serve my country. Here is a list just to refresh your memory……..

Joe Muharsky
RD2, United States Navy Black Berets Vietnam
Forward Machine Gunner, PCF 78, DaNang, 1968
Forward Machine Gunner, PCF 94, An Thoi, 1969
U.S.S. Brister, Destroyer Escort #327, Vietnam, 1967
Operation Market Time, Operation Seal Lords, Operation Phoenix
Coxswain and flotilla Operations officer, United States Coast Auxiliary 2002-

I aint got that fry pan yet I have been trying to capitalize on my celebrity status in this election.

You might notice that PCF (Swift Boat) 94 was my last duty station in the regular military. Senator Kerry was in command of the 94 boat. There were two crews per boat and I was on the other crew.

Anyway, the casualty rate for our unit in 1969 was 82%. How many Disabled Vets do you think that left? Not to mention the thousands upon thousands of Disabled American Veterans from all our nations wars. The list is growing as I write

Anyway, enough of my rambling. I am offering a picture I made of PCF (Swift Boat) 94 with the names of Fifty-Two of our brothers on it. Oh, by the way these are not the names of the disabled from our unit; they are the men who were killed in action on Swift Boats in Vietnam. Here is a link to the picture if you have an interest in purchasing one.

http://www.mwweb.com/ndc/SwiftBoats/94boat.htm

The photo I send you will be printed out in an 8x10 High resolution on Glossy photo paper. You will notice that there is room in the upper right hand corner of the photo for some writing. I will write on it whatever you would like and sign it, Joe Muharsky, Forward Machine Gunner PCF 94.

How much is this photo you might wonder? It is slightly less than $28,000 and I aint a virgin either but try to overlook that please.

NOTE THAT JOE IS ASKING FOR MONEY ORDERS MADE OUT TO "THE DISABLED AMERICAN VETERANS." ARMYDAD

The price is $25 but there is one slight catch to all this. All money orders will be made payable to “THE DISABLED AMERICAN VETERANS”.

I do not want a dime. I will even pay for the postage to mail you your picture. As a bonus you can pick out any other picture you might like from my website http://www.mwweb.com/ndc and I will include that for an extra $5 per picture. Maybe I should sell it like the religious channels do, “Send $25 or More”, they say. If you feel like sending more I am sure our Disabled men and women could use it.

I will not accept Cash or checks, only a money order made out to “THE DISABLED AMERICAN VETERANS”. When I receive your order I will send you the pictures. If you have an interest please send me a personal message and I will send you my address.

CEO Richard Rowe, (GoldenPalace.com), said he planned to use the sandwich to raise money for charity. If any one reading this can think of a better charity than to help our Disabled Veterans, let me know.

Maybe we can get Richard Rowe to purchase a picture for $28,000. If not maybe we could get him to pledge matching funds to whatever this generates.
Monty Kerr, a spokesman for GoldenPalace.com said, "It's a part of pop culture that's immediately and widely recognizable.

I would like to point out Mr. Kerr that American Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, and Coastguard, are and have always been part of our culture. I challenge you to do the same for them as you would for a grilled cheese sandwich.

On this Thanksgiving Eve, May God Bless our Troops

Sincerely

Joe Muharsky

A proud Veteran still in service to his country
