maybe no comment needed, but that won't stop me!

Here was a comment on the piece:

"One might be tempted to think that PETA is a shoestring operation, run by 2 or 3 former mental patients operating out of an old trailer house in a remote corner of the Mojave desert. This is not the case. PETA is a multi-million dollar business with a shiny new 3 story headquarters in Newport News Va and more than 100 full-time employees (average salary 120K). In today's increasingly surreal world, barking mad is also highly profitable."

Don't get me started. PETA has a radical agenda that the vast majority of Americans would strongly oppose if they knew the facts. But what they're mostly good at is generating publicity and raising money.

A few years ago in Southeast Missouri, a PETA group tried to stop an organized deer hunt. One of them dressed up in a deer costume and went into the woods. She was promptly shot in the butt. She sued the hunter and lost in record time.

I disagree with PETA about hunting deer....people eat venison...it's not trophy hunting. And, deer would starve if their populations were not kept in check. Plus, they would eat everything on our properties....

Despite their claims, much of PETA's agenda is actually anti-animal. They oppose pet ownership, most uses of domesticated animals, and even many management programs for wild animals. In PETA's world, man would just butt out and let animals fend for themselves. How would that work in a world with close to 8 billion people?
