Time for Norm to quit:

POLL: Coleman should concede

An exclusive Survey USA poll shows nearly half of Minnesotans surveyed say its time for Republican Norm Coleman to concede the U.S. Senate race to Democrat Al Franken.

According to the poll, 56% of Minnesotans think the recount was fair to both sides and just 31% think it was unfair to Norm Coleman. 49% disagree with Coleman's decision to contest the election (42% agree) and 44% think he should concede.

Neither candidate is doing well with voters: both are viewed unfavorably by a plurality of Minnesotans, who just want to see this conflict go away. To that end, perhaps most telling of all: just 8% want to see another recount, which is what Coleman's election contest requests.

Despite these numbers, the alternate reality Coleman campaign claims to be enthused:

The Coleman campaign says the poll reinforces their decision to contest the election to make sure all Minnesotans can be assured the results are valid.

Yikes. I guess that's why nobody ever accused Norm Coleman of being being the sharpest tool in the shed...

Your last part of the last sentence

Norm Coleman is a tool

They will prolong it so the Dems don't have a seat as long as possible

and who knows, SCOTUS might steal it for him anyhow

It is purely a STATE issue.

SCOTUS will exercise its right to remain silent.
