Today I give you a decidedly different viewpoint of the Diebold / Triad story, a viewpoint shared by the GOP.
Apparently under Ohio law policies, it is "routine maintenence" to make such adjustments. Mrs. Eaton is paranoid, lying, or both.
Actual reality: Although Ohio law stipulates that maintence must be done on the machines before a count is to take place, it also unmistakably stipulates that it should normally be done a few days before the recount or count, the main office should be notified of all events, a few witnesses should be present to make sure the election machine is properly working, and NO ONE should just drop on by and make corrections.
Triad represenative arrived with no real prior warning, Triad apparently doesn't know if he was supposed to go in that day or what's going on but insists it is routine, and he instructed the election officials to comply with his demands which included an array of things. This also happened with Diebold workers also.
Under Ohio law, machines should be tested for ballots problems, scanning difficulties, other difficulties before being rebooted to stage the test.
Actual reality: Ohio law does not state that automatically a machine vendor should come in and change the "dead hard drives" and move parts around, further while not allowing anyone else access to the area. In fact this should never be done before written consent.
Both the Diebold and Triad workers made routine "adjustments" to the machine which included swapping out the hard drive for absolutely no reason or warning, taking pieces out and swapping them and then finally instructing the election workers that they should NEVER reboot the machine, not reset it, or anything. Which in actuality its a simple PC so rebooting it couldn't do any harm.
Under Ohio law machine vendors must notify the election personnel, of the test results for an election so they can make sure its counting accordingly. Election workers should be able to see the samplings as well as observers.
Actual reality: In both cases with Diebold and Triad, the represenatives instructed election officials with multiple commands, to NOT show the actual results they were writing up on the map. They said instead I quote "Just enter the numbers that we have in the machine, so it matches the hand count that way you don't have to worry about it." Further they said "Keep the numbers out of sight of the rest of the personnel, so nobody can see them on the board."
Further, the workers also exclaimed that the weighted results, just for the recount/3% should be posted on the WEBSITE. Now what actually is the purpose for having the numbers on the website?
Its a new Ohio law; as indicated by Blackwell to cover "problems with different machines." In this case, problems is a case of healthy election hacking. In fact its so badly obvious Conyers almost doesn't even have to inspect them!
Election workers put the results out in plain view of the website, sometimes even days in advance, so that johnny come lately can go to his wireless laptop and use the admin password his friend gave him to go in and activate the vote rigger. Its that easy, a 20 year old college student, working for Triad, can go right over to the school parking lot with headphones on, dial in, insert password, activate bogus code and zoom. Now the tabulator runs on automatic and starts inserting all the bogus dead people and other registered "voters" which feed in from Accentures crystal clear database. Votes get flipped, numbers delete themselves, and whatever else at the end of the day.
Machine workers come back in "to check the adjustments" and the hard drive swapping, is very obvious on each hard drive is the vote rig program. The insiders know it and so does Blackwell. By this time Blackwell is being so transparent about frauding everybody because he knows his fundi buddies in congress will bail him out.
He has no reason to fear the law, he makes the law in Ohio. Until Rove and someone else on his side decides that hes just dead weight, than they let him rot. But then again you are dealing with crazy fundamentalists who don't understand their own law. Ultimately what its going to come down to is an uprising, they will have to be forced down. After all the justices you claim are fair were elected by fraud anyway and they have been using these computers everywhere for a few years. There's a reason this is already going to the supreme court.
Oh and also to catch these people you need the tabulator impounded like in WA state to read all the stored data on that hard drive. They figure nobody will get an authorization to take their toys away.
