The Largest Hawk

watched from 20 feet away

wind ruffled feathers floating up

eyes scanning for movement

ready to launch

this is friday in america

this is a hellstorm brewing

awaiting the perfect moment

It is true, Friday morning after working on the site most of the nite I turned to look out my window and there, on the lowest branch of an old oak, on the north side, in the shadows was the largest hawk I had seen.

He was staring right at me, so I went and wrote that.
