Weiner Will Not Run for NYC Mayor

Confirming suspicions that have circulated since he informed supporters in April that he would be suspending his campaign, Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY) is ending his mayoral aspirations for 2009," City Hall reports.

Weiner's exit leaves just Comptroller Bill Thompson and Council Member Tony Avella competing for the Democratic nomination to face New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg this fall.

New York City Carries too much weight in the US Social System...

It is time for a Universal Treaty between Israel and the US of A Making both Jerusalum and New York International Cities...this would be the most Natural Emergent Evolution of the Human Social System. That would be a holistic,
systemic Intervention and a Two State Solution in the Middle East...

He is just a weiner.
I wouldn't want a weiner for mayor
He is a lightweight and an opportunist

Bloomberg did a great job. Much better than Rudy.;
He should have been VP for Obama.

Thompson should quit too.

Cities are like Banks...if they are too big to fail, they are to big to exist.

I don't wish to get rid of my step-son who lives in NTC but given that the World government is located there and the
World Financial center (Wall Street) is located there, we should give serious attention to making it an International City, along with Jerusalem...

I think NYC has a disportionate amount of influence on the Federal system...

nothing you are saying I can argue again.(meaning yup, I agree with you.)

An international city is a great concept. We are all international anyhow these days.
but then the isolationist people will argue the one world concept.

I don't think the founding fathers anticipated alot of this, and how the world would become "smaller" in distance

boundaries are sort of artificial in the first place anyhow

Why is one side of the river Tennessee, and the other Arkansas?
