Cancer Caught Early, Senator Expected To Make Full Recovery
WASHINGTON (CBS) ― Connecticut Sen. Chris Dodd has been diagnosed with prostate cancer, CBS 2 has learned.
Dodd planned to announce the diagnosis at a news conference in Hartford, Conn., Friday afternoon. CBS 2 has learned the cancer was caught early and he is expected to make a full recovery.
Dodd, 65, is chairman of the Senate Banking Committee. The five-term senator is up for re-election next year.
