PRESS ADVISORY from the United States Department of Defense

No. 064-04
PRESS ADVISORY Dec 21, 2004

Tuesday, December 21, 2004

The Department of Defense will augment the Today in DoD web page with
the addition of daily photographs of military personnel and Defense operations
around the world. These images will be featured on the web page as thumbnails and will provide a direct link to higher resolution versions of those specific images
and more photos in the DoD News Photos and DoD Image Gallery.

Additionally, any interested person or organization will be able to
subscribe to the DoD Image Gallery and receive a daily e-mail containing these
photographs.

These photographs are taken by military photographers around the world
and reflect activities and operations of the past 24 to 72 hours.

The number of images included in each mailing to the Image Gallery list
is deliberately limited, in order to keep the e-mails small and their contents
quick and easy to review. A link to more images, all of them online, will be
embedded daily.
