With so many people looking for work, Rock feels his best chance is land a new job is through networking. But it costs him $18 just to trek into Manhattan, not to mention $4 for a cup of coffee at Starbucks, where he often meets people who he hopes will lead him to a job.
YEP!!! Not to mention all the other associated costs of networking, cell phone bill (what's a cell phone?) drycleaning, gasoline, transit tickets, parking fees if needed, and heaven forbid your car breaks down!

Rock's benefits ran out last week. Now, he says, he'll be forced to drive a cab at night or take a bartending job just to earn enough to keep job hunting.
I always love this one....it's what everyone says....Oh, I guess I'll have to get a waitressing job! Good luck with that. A couple million people already reached that point, and if you don't have experience, you don't have a snowball's chance in hell of driving a cab or bartending or waitressing.
So, when there are Hoovervilles, will they call them Obamavilles or just slums? lately, housing of last resort (trailers) and tent cities aren't looking much different where I live. I'm just lucky! Nothing more and nothing less.
