Well, which is it? Six or a half dozen?

Man, if this is true, I don't like all the publicity. I read elsewhere that since a lot of them were out of town, the Republicans were worried they wouldn't be able to get a quorum to end debating and the issue wouldn't die right away. If there really is going to be all the Senators, they should really keep their mouths shut, so all the Republicans won't come running back to town.

Where are the repubs???

I will be extremely happy with one, but unhappy that all of them didn't object. smile.gif

Nothing on the web version of MSNBC yet.

Regarding the publicity -- I'm sure all the Congressmen are wired in to each other via aides, cell phones, beepers, faxes and the whole bit. Not to mention the right-wing version of us.

But it would be cool if they were caught off guard.

I still think Kerry being in DC will help solidify his support if he wants to run in 2008. He has nothing to lose. An e-mail won't satisfy a lot of people. They see him as a coward, scaredy cat, and not a real leader like he meant it on the campaign trail. Plus, he will be respected among black leaders like Jesse, Conyers, and others and not think he is taken voters for granted. Plus he would show some unity by challenging the election. I am not angry with him, but others are. sad.gif

just heard that too
along with hearing that Pelosi thinks it is a waste of time, and that it was embarrasing for this to happen when there are more important things going on!
Excuuuuussse me- more important than democracy? Ok Pelosi, my mind is now changed about you!

Now, I understand why Kerry could be keeping it quiet.

The proof is in the pudding. If something big happens tomorrow, I will regain a lot of respect for Kerry. If not... my respect is in the dumpster again.

MSNBC reporter says some senators think it might not resonate well with supporters; they on't think that's what the majority of American want.

Well thanks to the MSM, many Americans are just now learning about this. By tomorrow the majority will know. And I guarantee more will be outraged.

To those senators afraid to do the right thing, I say don't stand at your own risk.

Agreed. We have to look at both short and long term affects of challenging the vote tommorow. In the short term it will get it in the main stream news and inform thsoe who have chosen to ignore what happened. In the long run, whethter it changes the election or not it has the potential for major voting reform. We just can't sit back and let this stuff go on anymore.
