I am soooo mad that the Bushies came out and finally admitted that there are no weapons of mass destruction!

That was their whole case to go to Iraq, and it was all a lie!

Yes I know that this is nothing new, but why are they allowed to get away with it??
Are they going to come out and tell us the truth on why we are there, and why all of these innocent people, on both sides, are "dying for a mistake".

I feel that they need to do some fast talking, or it seems to me that they should be charged with war crimes.

There is going to be a civil war in Iraq. Napalm. cluster bombs. For What? Tell me Mr. Bush, why are we there? Are why are you going to be allowed to get away with this?

How many more people will have to die for this mistake? How do you ask a person to be the last one to do so ............?

This will only be effective if we all do this together! Lots of signatures... maybe a petition hand delivered to him at his 4 day gala (which we are paying for)

and why did he rush those weapons inspectors out of there?
searchingforsanity
He didn't have a mandate start the war---just another Bush/MSM lie.

3 reasons:

1) after we busted up Iraq, Halliburton and other 'personal' govt contractors can make $$billions in profits just from Iraq alone.

2) to further the control for new oil fields in N Iraq .... more profit sharing

3) to use Iraq for military bases to further invade other Middle Eastern countries

oh... and just for the heck of it, GW thot another feather in his goober beenie hat would look neat...

And here's the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the whole truth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
so angry I could spit
What do expect from a guy who just realized there could be consequences to his statements? In a few years, he'll admit he didn't know there could be consequences to his actions!
EvelyninTexas
Yeah, and I heard last night on NPR, the BBC version, that the administration, in the oil for food mess, KNEW that the oil was being smuggled out of Iraq at an astonishing rate, and did absolutely nothing.

In my book, that's impeachable, maybe criminal to boot!

I'm mad at the media and the American people that seem to think it doesn't matter whether Saddam had WMD's or not. Now we have people on the Right saying he hid them LOL! How is that possible when according to Colin Powell we had Saddam under surveillance.
Kra/Lee
My sentiments exactly. I was so mad when I heard this. Why isn't anyone bringing up criminal charges? I read Bush's own father told him not to invade Iraq, that there would be consequences! Yea, like all our boys and women killed and maimed by W... What could be worse than that? More people killed? For What?
DutyCalls
I'm concerned that B*** saying clearly the search for the non-existent WMD is over in public is less about a conciliatory strategy and more about some peculiar confidence/arrogance that the American public at large will NOT stand up to delcare their own indignance and that scares the hell out of me. It is still, at the moment, in the hands of the people, and a harrowing outcry is way past due, yet if the public (and a bi-partisan public as this no longer has to do with which party is in power) does not make a move, they will have again consigned the ongoing carnage of war in their own names.

there was a post a few weeks ago about the difference between the 60's protests and now....the commonality is that we were lied to about the 'war', we were ANGRY and used that anger constructively to effect some change and at least hold people accountable

IT IS TIME BUSH BE SHOWN FOR THE LIAR THAT HE IS and that he is held ACCOUNTABLE for the lies.
