CARSON CITY, Nev. A judge says a Reno woman is entitled to copy documents from Nevada Secretary of State Dean Heller's office to check whether President Bush fairly beat Democrat John Kerry.
Democrat Patricia Axelrod sought preliminary and final official election documents from all 17 Nevada counties last fall.
She was able to see them.
But she claimed in a lawsuit that Heller, a Republican, refused to provide copies and charged an excessive copying fee of one dollar a page.
Carson City District Court Judge William Maddox ruled yesterday (Wednesday) that Axelrod can pick which documents she wants copied -- and Heller's office has to tell her how much she'll be charged before copies are made.
The judge says he'll rule on the cost per page later.
Bush won Nevada's five electoral votes with a 21-thousand-500-vote margin over Kerry.
