would the Bushbots question their beliefs? If Kerry had of won, would they sit around asking how did we lose, what can we do to win, maybe if we stop putting the Liberals down they'll like us enough to vote for us. Although I think the Bushbots are totally twisted they do have conviction. I'm shocked at the Kerry supporters questioning their beliefs. If you really believed in what you were fighting for, there's no way in hell you would question your reasons for fighting.

It's time to lick our wounds and move on. I for one have absolutely no desire to join the Bushbots and welcome Bush in his second term. I'm sick about some of the spineless Democrats saying maybe we can work with the President. These are the same people that were against him just a week a go.

I see us more as saying: "ok, what is going to be different next time."

To be blunt:

1) I see nothing wrong with our values (e. g., equal rights, being a good neighbor in the world, no unjust wars) but

2) I see that these values aren't mainstream values in the good ol' US of A.

So, the way I see it: we need to nominate a liar, er, slick politician who will do what it takes to get elected, and then do a good job once he/she gets into office.

Think: "LBJ". wink.gif

I am getting tired of losing.

As far as "working with the president"; he is what we have. sad.gif So, may as well do whatever good that we can; the people that need help still need it and the war continues to kill people on both sides.

Bush said "I'm willing to work with people that share the same goals that I have." In other words he's not going to change. He was wrong before the election, and he's wrong after the election. Bush is not willing to compromise, neither am I.

I think that we need to be, and are, more open-minded than the "Bushbots". But re-evaluating some strategies, tactics and even some views does not mean compromising core principles.

We also have to acknowledge differences between ourselves with respect as we discuss all of this. IMO differences of opinions does not mean we cannot work together or have anyone give up on important principles. It does mean that willingness to compromise on some strategies and tactics.

Kerry should go ahead and push for some of the legislation he suggested. If he doesn't then everything he said was a joke.

Medical Tort reform.... 3 strikes and out for lawyers..... why wouldn't the lawyer hating Repubicans go for this? They say lawyers are a major part of the expenses.... so..... beat them to the punch!

Can Kerry come out now with the facts of the "wonder" missile shield????? Bush is still quietly funding this farce.

My mind is totally closed to Bush's policy of death and destruction, and denying rights to gay Americans.

Are all of your other views similarly unalterable?

I'm with you. I will not turn into a conservative in order to beat Bush.

Caught your edit! I agree with you there, that is the sort of thing that I meant by core principles. There is a lot of unsolicited, unhelpful and insincere advice out there for the Democrats. But I think that self-examination is healthy. I do think the Democrats need to focus on more than, how do we win. We need to focus on how do we best achieve our objectives concerning important principles, which of course involves how do we win.
