Clinic in Vancouver will start distributing free heroin to addicts hoping to determine whether this could prove to be of some help to those who have failed aversion therapy, AP mediates

This practice has been condemned in USA, called as unethical and dangerous. Similar research, however, has been done in Holland, Switzerland, Germany and Spain.

The project has been approved by scientists and has received 6,4 million $ grant from Canadian health research institute, also condoned by many other canadian universities.
