This election was truly a national tragedy. Here in Colorado we see a faded rainbow. Both sides of our State House have done a flip flop from a Republican majority to a Democrat majority. One of our senators, Republican Ben Nighthorse Campbell retired and the 2 contenders were Pete Coors (Conservative Republican) and Ken Salazar (Democrat). Ken was elected.

We all need to regroup to deal with the US Executive Office and the US Congress. Reading the tea leaves many ‘green’ Coloradans see a message that for the time being we, more than ever, need to act locally.

We definitely need to study the dynamics of the Colorado elections. Hopefully we can learn enough to duplicate the Democrats' results in a significant number of states in 2006.

You need to pay attention to Harry Reid's re-election. He seems to have quite a following from Republicans as well as Democrats.

But what's in a name that which we call a rose.....

The point is that the Democrats need to reach out not only to the base but to the Republicans as well. That's the only way I believe that Democrats are going to gain anything. This election seemed to be based on party, party and party.

Bush kept insisting that Kerry was a Liberal and so we get this whole idea that

Democrat=Liberal (not saying that is bad but Bush paints a liberal as evil and the blood dripping from their fangs.) lol

All jokeing aside in order for the Democrats to succed they are going to have to try to go for Republicans as well.

I am very proud of Colorado. I saw Ken Salazar in an interview and I liked what I saw.

Please keep us informed of developments and projects.

According to MSNBC the Colorado popular vote count was:

Kerry: 944,052 46.87%

Nader: 11,994 .6%

The other one: 1,058,040 52.53%

That's a whole lot of voters who evidently either like the colors of Bush's rainbows or don't mind them too much.

Did ya'll have e-touch voting???? Is this a good excuse? What did persuade Coloradians (is this a word?) to vote this way? IMO, Colorado is one of the most beautiful states in this country and based on the last four years experience with Bush's EPA record I would have voted for my dog before voting for him and his gang of criminals. Did Colorado go for the family value issue fake-out also?

Colorado has its share of Evangelicals and Mormons. Isn't one of the leading Born Again ministries located in Colorado Springs?

I love Colorado so much my family visits every year. There is nothing like the beauty of the Rocky Mountains. I was so thrilled when I heard Ken Salazar got elected. I think if the Dems focus on the enviroment in Colorado, Nevada, Montana, New Mexico and Arizona that we may see a turn from red to blue out west.

Don't count on it if the NRA has any clout!!! Obviously they care more about making profits selling assault weapons to any punk on the street than they care about the environment.

The NRA is just another psuedo propoganda machine for recriminals to shuffle money through to buy votes.
