Yeah... I'm at a tech conference for voice over IP (like Vonage, for those of you who aren't Internet geeks). I sat through Michael Powell's talk without having a "wardrobe malfunction", but I was joking that his next job would be a guest commentator on the Howard Stern show. :D Then, there was this Undersecretary of Commerce that spoke today about how "technology focused" and "encouraging entrepreneurship" the Bush Administration was. It was enough to make me gag. Technology-friendly my a**! Especially because they got so much money from the traditional telephone companies, while a lot of the new VoIP companies (again, Vonage) gave money to the Kerry, who is one of the leading Senators on tech policy.

Later, I saw this guy in the elevator of my hotel, which isn't the best hotel but it's under the amount of money that the Fed is willing to spend. I took great pleasure in knowing that a political appointee was in the same moderate hotel that my colleagues and I were in. :D
