Woman around the country are having problems getting their Birth Control. Pharmacist refuse to fill on moral grounds and are getting away with it. Not only do they not fill, on occasion they refuse to return the prescription to the patient. Heard this on Air American this morning on Morning Sedetion.....

I swear I'd never see the day when this was allowed in the United States of America. Where is the freedom? Where are our freedoms? We are in serious trouble when pharmacists can dictate to us what we can and cannot take. I am crying for our country.........

Well, the drugstores will lose the businesss of those who have been refused prescriptions for contraception. For every pharmacist who won't fill a prescription, there are several who will. People will take their business elsewhere. smile.gif

I am beginning to get the impression that a growing faction of America is anti-sex.

That's right, you heard me. They believe there's only one reason for any person to have sex: procreation. If you aren't married and trying to make a baby, you're a sinner.

It is ridiculous to assume that hormonal pregnancy "kills" a fetus. It prevents eggs from reaching the stage where they can be fertilized. And yet some Americans - college educated Americans at that - seem to feel otherwise. I can see how the "morning after" pill is regarded as a form of abortion; that makes sense. Estrogen pills prevent fertilization, and pharmacists of all people know that. The only reason for these pharmacists to make this decision is political, an attempt to enforce one's views of morality.

We all know what the right wing thinks of abortion; their concensus is that "life begins" at fertilization (as if we weren't entirely made up of life the whole time). And we all know what they think of homosexuality; the movement to prevent recognition of homosexual relationships might very well have tipped the scales in this election.

I think they're against sex. I really do.

Think of this: the next time you're having sex with a person you love (and you aren't trying to make a baby) you are probably offending a GOPper somewhere! It might make it better for you; I certainly enjoy the thought! lol.gif

Now wonder the majority of the youth vote is so fervently against the Republicans!

If I ever do have sex...I promise to try to remember the Repubs! tongue.gif

And if you do have it, try not to enjoy it <_<

I've been waiting for months for the American people to get the clue that according to the rightwingers in bush's ear we are not supposed to have sex unless they want to make a baby.
