Uncle Sam on the prowl

Four years ago I would have thought Rosario was wrong--very wrong to use her anti war feelings to convince young people not to enlist in the military. I would have seen this action as manipulation of our youth for her own agenda and somewhat unpatriotic. Today, I don't agree with her actions, but I don't view her as unpatriotic, and I understand how she feels and what motivates her to what she is doing.

I don't agree with the hard sell of military recruiters or their invasion of our children's privacy by prying into their school records, but there is no doubt that we need new recruits and the task of finding them now is more difficult than ever.
With the growing threat in North Korea. Iran, China's threats to Taiwan, and the lack of new recruits volunteering for the military--new and more desperate recruiting styles are going to be used by by the militar. If they are not successful in finding young men and women to enlist--then I can't see how we are going to avoid a draft.
