CommonGround-CommonSense.org welcomes 2004 LP Presidential Candidate, Michael Badnarik!

The CGCS team is proud to announce that we will have a Town Meeting with 2004 Libertarian Party candidate, Michael Badnarik. He has accepted our invitation to answer your questions Friday, March 18, 2005 from 8-9pm CT.

Recognizing that most of our members have come over with us from the Kerry-Edwards Online Forum, we know that most of you are progressive Democrats. That said, it is still our goal and our mission to open civil discussion with people who hold different viewpoints. We hope that Mr. Badnarik’s visit to our site will help to attract some Libertarians with whom we may attempt to find “common ground”!

In April, we will have a live chat with Will Steger. Mr. Steger is one of the world’s leading explorers and environmentalists, and is best known for his record-breaking dog sled expeditions, including the first confirmed dogsled journey to the North Pole and the first and only dogsled traverse of Antarctica! He is a well-known advocate for understanding and preserving the Arctic.

We have set up a special Forum for the chat, and you may start posting questions by clicking here. (Don't worry if you don't see the question you posted; moderators will not make the questions visible until the time of the chat!)

Remember, this is a pre-moderated chat. Only posts approved by moderators will be made visible and the speaker may or may not respond to your question. The usual rules of civility apply, and the moderators have complete discretion to determine if a question is appropriate.

In the meantime, you may learn more about Michael Badnarik by visiting his website http://badnarik.org or www.constitutionpreservation.org
