The Senators that thought they would gain political prestige by forcing baseball stars to testify are sadly mistaken. These baseball stars represent many of the Nation's charities and have done so, for their entire careers. The stench of McCarthy hearings will overpower any political grandstanding by these senators.
Years later there isn't conclusive proof which players used or didn't, this whole hearing process is just a VERY frightening example to the rest of the Nation, who will be called NEXT?

I did mistakenly call the hearings Senate, it's Congressional hearings, as much as I've seen they were absolutely WORTHLESS. I didn't see the parents of kids who committed suicide, perhaps that was of value, but the baseball stars was STUPID!
