This is the best statement of principles I've ever read. I just hope it comes to pass! Received in my mail.

Prepare for Revolution

The totalitarian regimes in Teheran and Damascus are coming to an end. The peoples of Iran, Lebanon and Syria should prepare themselves for revolution within weeks or at most months. The people must be ready because freedom is not distant and will be theirs very soon.

The era of totalitarianism will shortly be over in the Middle East as the people will determine the future. Now the tyrants tremble in fear over their fate in the immediate future. The nexus of terror will end.

Fear which was once the fate of the people is now the condition of tyrants. The ayatollahs have sent their children to Canada for they know that tyrants die. The junta from Latakia province will come to an end and the dogs of Damascus will drink the blood of al-Baath as it flows through the streets of Damascus.

A new era of freedom will commence as tyrants are crushed by the wrath of the people. The ayatollahs of terror will not even be able to find refuge in Qom and they will not be forgiven. The proud nations of the Middle East should rejoice for freedom is near.

Prepare for freedom, you peoples of the Middle East, for it is your birthright. Take measures necessary to be prepared at any point. The tyrants tremble in fear for they surely know that they deserve a grisly fate.

Freedom is your right and tyranny is temporary. Death is the fate of man and dictators are no exception. The forces of freedom are victorious and will crush the tyrants of the region as the era of totalitarianism ends in the Middle East.

You are right, in my opinion...too much a different cultur!!! coming from Heart who seems to know the ME, this is a amazing statement!
Months or years.....in the ME????? Israel who always brag of being "the sole democratic country in the ME" was created with people already coming from countries living in democraty...this was just a follow-up! but of course, this is another tread.

Mistral...it's not coming from me...why do you think I'm so excited! This is the kind of thing being written all over the middle east and passed around to people's mail boxes. I don't know if it's possible...but to say too many cultures....look at Europe and the former Soviet Union, there ARE so many more cultures there and (for the most part, with growing pains) they have learned to get along and striven for freedom, each in their own way. I think Syria is only holding on by a thread and I read an open letter to Saudi Arabia printed in a middle eastern newspaper today that gave them instructions on how to transition the Kingdom to democracy without turning it over to the extremists. It was a wonderful letter and filled with insight and wisdom. It may be really happening! Just maybe! Just maybe! And won't it be wonderful...really?

Agree with you Heart, this would be perfect, but all this countries are different, from our industrialized world: only in the big cities is this mouvement going on....Most of the rest of the countries is very rural and nothing will change really. To speak of Syria, which is the country I know the best: life is like it was for centuries and "regular" people were not even unhappy or concerned about who is in power.
Another country I know well is Maroc......a friend of the USA or France, for the matter: do you think people will stop being incarcerated just because of democracy?
All this big words: Socialisme, Communisme, Democraty or even Capitalisme....were positive in their first mouvement, but over the years and the centuries, they became spoiled by the character of the human being! And now, you can add religious extremism, allover the globe, including America!
The history of democraty, through the USA or Europe is full of groups or people trying to ursup the same freedom, for their own agenda.
You can call me a "misanthrope" laugh.gif this is allright with me
