How can you tell that the seams are faulty and how do you repair them?
If they look too cloudy, have air bubbles or seem too brittle 'tain't a good sign. The grinder comes out and you go down to bare wood, recoat with epoxy, then redo the glassing. 'Tis a nasty messy dirty job, but IMHO necessary.
Color me anal, but if done right this type construction is stronger than any production boat out there. On the water methinks is
not a good time to realize you shoulda been more careful.
Leech Lake gets rough enough that no boat be perfect for it in all conditions, 'cept maybe the Queen Mary. Cracked block will not be cheap, but at the right price and if it's a well designed and constructed deep v-hull might be worth the effort, eh? If it's a Bayliner walk away and never look back, especially one more'n five years old!

Did you see what just happened? Cyndi
jumped right in, and ripped-off the 750th post in volume 4. Thought for sure one of the regulars would get to celebrate with champagne and fireworks, but nooooooooo... As I predicted (and hoped for) methinks! I even PM'd
her to keep an eye out 'cause 'twas gettin' close, so blame me if ya must, eh?
Congratulations Cyndi! QUOTE(Marine @ Apr 1 2005, 11:15 PM)
Dallas is on there second pro basketball team and second pro football team, Bet most of you people don't remember the Dallas Texans football club.
Actually methinks the Cowboys are the third pro football team Dallas has had. Back in the days of the All America Conference there was a team in Dallas that then moved to Baltimore and now resides in Indianapolis, eh? 'Tain't that I'm a big pro football history buff or nuthin', and no I don't remember the Providence Steamroller or Duluth Eskimos, but someone I was once stationed with and is now a history teacher useta bother me with this kinda mundane info.
BTW, note to heart:
Cylons be bad.... BAD, BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD!
