Did anyone catch the press conference on C-Span regarding the end results for Women voters on c-span. It was really interesting, if you get a chance try to catch it again or read the transcripts.
In short, this was addressed by high ranking members of womens political groups, which is VERY concerned about issues like Roe V Wade, stem cell research, contracteptives and the FDA, in general progressive values.
The conclusion from the press conference is they expect some very permanent negative effects for the Bush administration and its supporters if they allow this ultra right wing agenda to go forward. Basically because the majority of women and the country in general support these basic rights.
There is hope. This administration is going to destroy itself with this "mandate", possibly permanently.
Also, be very skeptical of Senator Specters potential appointment to the Judicial Committee. He claims to be pro-choice. But this group revealed that despite his public remarks, he has always supported every ultra-conservative judiciary candidate from Bush that might reverse Roe v Wade.
