I agree that Wal-Mart may not be the best business for its employees or the local community. However, are they any worse thant the other "big box " stores?

In fact they are worse then the other big box stores. Costco treats their employees with respect and higher pay plus medical benifits. And yet they still make money and are a highly regarded by Wall Street. In addition Costco sells US made products when possible. I think Walmart is just a redneck mentality.
