I noticed that a lot of Republicans make monthly donations to the RNC. I suggest anyone who can afford it to do the same. Organization does take money, unfortunatley. If you want the Dems to be organized give them a hand. Either volunteer or donate.
Excellent suggestions!
The truth is, sadly, an awful lot of people in this country voted for Bush. The truth may also be that many of those Bush voters were seriously misinformed; as it is also being reported that 2 ot of 3 believed we had found WMD in Iraq.
If so, we have not done our job of presenting the facts, and have allowed the repubs to set the agenda through a campaign of lies and distortion. Moveon and Michael Moore did a great job, but we need to do more, and we need to begin sooner, not later. I have been a small business(and I mean small -not the Repub version), and have been trying over the last week to figure out how to reorganize my life, so that I can spend substantial time over the next few years taking another shot at getting the truth out, and getting our folks back in office.
We need to get organized. We need to continue to support organizations that get the word out on television and radio. We need to get more progressive radio more available throughout this country. We need to do what we did for the campaign, but all the time. We need to have a media corps to respond to Sinclair like activities, and to be sure our voices are heard in the media generally. We need to organize to continue to educate in our neigborhoods, sooner not later. This is hard work, and as someone who worked with a bunch of others knocking on thousands of doors, and speaking to hundreds of people, I have a small inkling of what I am suggesting. Now is the time to begin that organization process, before we all glide back into life. I would like , once again, to respectfully suggest state sub forums. Thanks for the opportunity to speak
