Dr. David Hager, the crusading gynecologist President Bush appointed to the FDA's Reproductive Health Drugs Advisory Committee, who may have single-handedly sabotaged Plan B being sold over the counter, and who apparently tells his suffering patients that they should just pray instead of taking pain killers, and who won't prescribe birth-control pills to unmarried women, is, perhaps, not what he appears. In fact, according to his ex-wife, he's a sodomite and a rapist.

According to her, Hager's public moralizing on sexual matters clashed with his treatment of her during their marriage. She alleges that between 1995 and their divorce in 2002, Hager repeatedly sodomized her without her consent. Several sources on and off the record confirmed that she had told them it was the sexual and emotional abuse within their marriage that eventually forced her out.

His ex-wife says that his many rapes of her included times when she would fall unconscious because of her narcolepsy.
