That's the song we're singing right now, and we have to change the tune: Burnin' down the House would probably be the most appropriate. In order to impeach Bush, we have to take his House away.
Howard Dean has said that "no seat will be uncontested," but all I see in virtually every forum- from DU to KOS, to CGCS, is the cheerleading team talking up our own; we need to quit preaching to the faithful and deal with the muck that is the neocon Republican Party.
I would like to see a place with all the House Republican seats listed, so that we can post all the dirt and slime they're involved in.
I know for a fact that every time I receive an update from Rep. Gary Miller (R-CA 42nd Cong. Dist.) I scan it for crap that can be turned against him. His use of talking points, his affiliations with DeLay or Cunningham, his stands on Social Security or border security. I also send him e-mails, and I save his responses- or note that he hasn't responded to e-mails sent.State by state, district by district, precinct by precinct, we have to remember: IT'S THE HOUSE, STUPID! With the House shoring him up, Bush has 3 1/2 years. Without the House, he's gone by next Easter.
