Our city advertised in their montly mailer about this service. It is like craiglist for re-cycling your household materials that are still useful but no longer needed or wanted but they MUST be GIVEN AWAY for FREE. idea.gif

I posted our blinds (windows just replaced) and have had SOOOO many requests! I wish I knew about this sooner! When I think of how wasteful I am, I just cringe.

Reduce your impact on the environment by giving to others and help others save money while you are at it! thumbsup.gif

I belong to my local freecyle.org and it's great. There are many different things people offer: clothes, toys, household stuff, cars, trailers, books, clean bottles, boxes, etc. Anything that can be re-used and kept out of the landfill.

I just signed up, hope I can get rid of that water bed that has been sitting in the basement for a few years now.
