We have repeatedly called upon the participants of this forum to respect our rules. In spite of these numerous requests, there are members who persist in baiting and including derisive remarks and/or name-calling within their posts. We have tried to give members the benefit of the doubt and many opportunities to understand our position on this.
Removing derisive remarks, but letting the person's point stand, was our attempt to help acclimate our members to the type of civil discussion that our mission calls for. Apparently, this gentle approach has not been sufficient to send our message to some folks and we are, frankly, tired of having to enforce this simple rule with such effort.
If you have something that you want to say, just leave out the stuff that violates the rules. We believe that everyone's opinion has merit if framed in a civil manner, but, regretably, we are now issuing an official warning that baiting, including derisive remarks and/or name-calling, are considered grounds for removing the entire post or topic.
