U.S. Pleased With Korea Nuclear Agreement
AP - 2 hours, 13 minutes ago

WASHINGTON - President Bush said Monday that North Korea's pledge to end its nuclear weapons programs is a positive step, but he expressed some skepticism about whether Pyongyang will live up to its promises. "They have said in principle that they will abandon their weapons programs," Bush said. "And what we have said is, `Great. That's a wonderful step forward.' But now we've got to verify whether that happens." "The question is, over time will all parties adhere to the agreement," Bush said

Cudos to Bush - Excellent progress - I'm not going to critize efforts like that!

I may not be a Republican, but I got to admire anything that's going keep nuclear weapons out of the hands of religious nut cases...

Sincerely, your friends in Canada

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this agreement similiar to what the clinton administration was doing to appease the koreans...
Marine
Sounds the same to me but at least they are back to talking.

It is similar, but in this case you have 6 nation talks rather than bilateral negotiations. To be honest...China is the main broker of this deal, and N. Korea will think twice before throwing their big red brothers under the bus.
