that's what i'm wondering

the people interested in the questions surrounding the election have grown thin

probably because they got attacked by some annoying posters who kept interrupting their threads. yesterday it was particularly bad
EvelyninTexas
Yeah, between Dante and Frenchy yesterday, I was ready to quit this joint.

there are few others still on the board who are equally annoying and constantly trying to derail our threads, on purpose, not because they are interested in the argument or discussion

if it keeps happening, perhaps we should complain to the mods about them
midnightblogger
Yes, it appears that as soon as we get the main news media talking about the voter fraud, we stop.

HOW AMAZINGLY SHORT OUR INTERESTS ARE !!!!!! sad.gif

has anybody else had trouble registering at DU????
I have tried several times throughout the year, and it won't take my email address-I'm at yahoo... I've emailed admin over there and have gotten nothing back. any suggestions?!

I'm still here.. reading quietly as I always do. I know that I don't give much input to the threads, but my vocabulary leaves little to be desired. You all are so intelligent and seem to talk the talk with ease. So, to save myself from looking like an utter idiot, I read and learn from the threads you start and input you give. I hope this is ok?

at least half of the members on the board have already MOVED ON and they are not interested in the fair election issue. some of them get angry if you even mention the topic

don't need to name names, do i?

i started at least 5 new threads in the fair election forum with interesting info about ohio and nh but few people seem interested...

you should definitely reply and join the discussion, if you want to.

some people on the board are a bit pushy, but don't let them chase you away!

I didnt have any problem registering at DU. May never be able to find my way around there properly though.

Agree with what BJ said. I tend to wonder away from here when the new threads are all women/choice bashing and stuff like that.

will look for the fair election thread.
freda4freedom
Oh trust me, no one is or will ever push me away.. not without a fight that is smile.gif I'm the silent type, but can voice my opinion as well.

I agree. I believe that there is power in numbers, and that we all have something to offer. We should be more polite to each other even when we disagree. All of us are entitled to our opinions, and there is no one person here more important than the others.

Please continue to post and share, your post sounds pretty sensible to me. I don't believe you're an idiot, and you shouldn't either.

Sorry if you've been made to feel this way. Sometimes we lose our manners, but I don't believe it's intentional (at least I hope not). tongue.gif

I'm still here .... I guess I was part of the problem yesterday... sorry.

I kept following some repetitious posts that had mis-information with the correct links and poitners to the right information. But I got a "reminded" of the rules and labeled by others. <sigh> ( we are eating ourselves apart)

I was ready to throw int hte towel a couple days ago... but I'm too tenacious ( some call me stubborn) to let go. I'm at the point where I question ( to myself now) the vailidity of every "headline" posting.

I am so tired of seeing the main stream punch holes in our "hard evidence" or being labeled a "sore loser" and "to get over it". I think its too easy and some of us are too eager to read something hopeful and take it for divine truth. Then we start e-mailing the media outlets. When it finally comes to light... it gets shot down somehow. I trying to take the stance in going one step further and prepare for the rebuttle ( if there is one) with a counter rebuttle.

They won't take my hotmail or yahoo........ what's up with that?
xyzse
Not quite,
Still around, just week-ends are a huge pain for me. I can usually post more during week-days at full-time work rather than all the part-times I do. Needless to say, I do keep close watch at these things and donate as much as I can. If you need receipts, I can show them.

Thing here is this, the news I see here would be more current and breaking than any where else. I just look around to see other matters as well.

Let me get this straight:

You are tired of being labeled a "sore loser" and being told "to get over it"

But you are OK with being called TRAITOR, quitter, Terrorist, Terrorist supporter, degenerate, gay lover, drug user, hippie, immoral, cheese eating surrender monkey..

Is that it ?

GROW A THICKER SKIN, or at least a less selective one. The insults won't stop, regardless of how the election turns out.

They may have had problems with people abusing webmail addresses to harass them?? I don't know I will post the question over there and see if i can get an answer for yahoo and hotmail account people.

I went over to the DU, because they are really well connected. One poster was personally talking to Keith Olbermann. The info is quick there too. Registration is back open, but only during certain times of the week. Come and join us!

You are doing fine freda. Keep it up. Just jump in there. Lots of times you will see me just say a word or two. It's rare that I put up a long post. And if I ever do, it is usually some news from somewhere with a link. And, the more you read the more you will be able to "join in". There is sooo much happening!!! And, sooo much to read.

Not true! Even with fewer blogs, notice how many viewings each topic gets. (Not bad!) Sometimes people read without responding.

Well this place has picked up heavy steam and the freepers seem to be gone...(no signs of brossing, phurwitz, donkey at all) so I'd say things are just getting hotter now...

I'm still here BG. I've been working my hardest to push this issue.

Before the University of Pennsylvania article came out, I was the one that pulled up the report "Election Night Estimations" showing that only 6 of 2200 exit polls had been wrong in the past.

I dissected the claim that oversampling of women caused the skewed exit polls, proving that this could only account for about 8% of the overall error in the worst possible case.

I showed that the "supposed" number of voters in 2004 was only 8 - 12% over the 2000 vote, despite the massive turnout. This shows millions of votes were just thrown out.

We HAVE to keep hanging in here.

To be honest, the general forum people really disturb me with their ostrich posturing.

Mail your information on the "false" study based on frauded exit polls to Keith and the gang.....These "cal tech students" could just as easily be linked to the same paid for hacker school, Bay Point, and be covering their tracks...
MrJim
The DU'ers have already done this -- e-mailed it to Keith and to Bev Harris.

I used another name with the previous forum. I think quite a few posters changed their ID when they moved over here.

I do go over to DU frequently, but I'd always rather be here.

Sometimes it gets slow here. I wonder if some people are demoralized by the election results, or if their drive to participate here was as an effort to the election, and now that it's over they have gone on their way.

There have also been an unusually high number of freepers here posting crap that is either meant to distract us, demoralize us, divide us, or just confuse the issues. These time wasters were a bit of a problem before, but lately they have been a much bigger nuisance.

I post my stuff here, and hope people see it. Sometimes I'll bump a post I think is especially significant. But if the views are few and the replies are fewer, it does tend to make me less motivated.

At the time this thread was started, it was Saturday afternoon. A lot of people are out doing stuff on Saturday afternoons, not sitting in front of their computers. Weekends are the only time a lot of people have to get their errands done after working all week. Also they may be spending time with their kids and spouses. It doesn't mean they don't care about this issue. It just means that they also have lives away from blogs, forums and their computers.
MominTN
No, alot of us sign on and check to see if anything new has been discovered or what the status is for the recounts. DU is probably better if you just want to chat with people. One thing I really like is the people here try to keep what's important in separate threads and try to keep them bumped up so we can see them when we come into Fair Election Practices. I also like the skin because it reminds me of johnkerry.com

Moms are busy but we do care about the future of our nation!

We might want to think about being nice to the freepers. I don't know if they are wasting our time or if they are honestly trying to learn something. Too bad we don't know if they are real people or just jokester trouble makers. However we can't let them post things that are untrue because then other people will read them. Maybe we should all update our profile with specific info, emails, personal pics, and then we can see who they are or tell them they must not be real.
periwinkle
I, for one, am finding it very discouraging that now we've gotten the information to the mainstream media we are, for the most part, left in the dark. Are the lawyers doing anything other than billing hours? Are votes being counted? Are machines being checked? Is anything at all really happening? Any news reports, other than Keith Olbermann, depict us as nutballs. I know I'm being bitchy and unrealistic. You can't overturn a presidential election in a day. lol.gif

Do we know some of the same people? lol.gif lol.gif lol.gif lol.gif lol.gif

I've been called worse, and I've been stalked on the net. I even had threatening emails,... "i am across the street, I see your using a mac and is that dog with you a sheperd mix?/".......If you can't take the lame insults we dished out here to each other, DO NOT go to any conservative sites!

I apologize for insulting anybody here. I am more sorry to some than others, but that is for another day. Blood under the bridge, as we used to say.

Somebody much wiser and probably nicer asked, "What went wrong and how do we fix it?"

we all know now that the allegations are no longer coming from weird conspiracy
