I know, I keep checking from work and delete my cookies, files and clear my
history as soon as I'm done! I'm the only employee in the office but you
never know who comes in to check afterwards. The maintenance kid asked
to check his email today and when he left, I realized this website was on the
drop-down list and started panicking because he's a Bush lover!

I've heard that the indictments will be sealed. So does that mean we don't get to find out who was indicted for what? If that's the case, you'll hear my agonized screams all the way across the continent. shout.gif

That's the thing I don't know. Perhaps it's just the details of the indictments that can't be made public, because it deals with issues of national security and classified information. So perhaps we can find out simple thing like person A was indicted for perjury, and person B was indicted for obstruction of justice. But they just can't tell us the details. I'm ok with that. I just want to know who the indicted people are, and what they are charged with.

You know what is really funny

For the last 10 days or so, there have been 100s and 100s of articles posted all proporting to know what is happening.

And this guy Fitzgerald keeps it all inside. No real leaks about the leak.

so none of us know anymore anything. Just rumors. And we have been debating rumors for all this time.

I just hope we are not all let down when it is announced

I will defnitely be disappointed if Rove, for instance, walks
USA#1
I think your right ... it has to be sealed till delivered ... I think, don't know for sure ... cool.gif

Here's something I've been wondering for awhile, now. We're all so gung-ho on Fitzgerald, despite his being a Republican, as he has such a stirling reputation for independence. How are we going to respond to him if he doesn't indict anybody? Will we turn on him, and accuse him of chicanery?

progressivephoenix
A lot of people will certainly be very disappointed and accuse Fitzgerald of wrongdoing. But realize this at least: He is not a republican and never has been. He has always been an independent.

I have seen that a lot too, but I think it was assumption based on him being a Bush appointee. More reliable information asserts he is definitely an independent.

I heard recently that he describes himself as an independent. I don't know what to think about the indictments. Like everything else we thought would bring these thugs down, they manage to slither away. We have no chance until we win the House and the Senate. Meanwhile they continue to rape the Republic!

He wasn't appointed by Bush.

Ashcroft recused himself and somehow this Brooklyn kid who indicted the WTC 1993 bombers among others and went to Chicago got the job, through a recommendation of others. He had worked for Mary White in NYC

Its like most people don't realize Rudy G. was an independent through alot of his career too, and only became a republican to get the nomination for mayor (much like Mike Bloomberg who is a liberal democrat hiding as a repub.)

For all intents Rudy is too.

(4) Sealed Indictment. The magistrate judge to whom an indictment is returned may direct that the indictment be kept secret until the defendant is in custody or has been released pending trial. The clerk must then seal the indictment, and no person may disclose the indictment's existence except as necessary to issue or execute a warrant or summons.

You probably did read that, Pegatha. We are all reading so much, everywhere, from all sorts of places. blink.gif On TV tonight NBC interviewed an old friend of his and he said that Fitz was "apolitical." A workaholic with no political or other ties. Just a man with a hatred for corruption.

And I read that he was Bush appointee.

That's right, he is really an independent. He registered in IL as an Independent, found out it was actually a political party, and changed to unaffiliated. Was on the CNN website a few days ago. dancing.gif

God help us all if this turns into nothing. Because then we'll have yet another round of gloating conservatives claiming their mandate to steamroll over every thing in sight.

I am hopeful. I am guardedly optimistic. But mostly I have a gnawing worry in the pit of my stomach.

Sunshine started a smart post earlier warning against putting all the eggs in one basket.

We can keep up the doubts and opposition indictments or not. They are so evil on so many levels. Indictments should be viewed as a plus but if they don't come that won't bring back the 2000 US service people; it won't put 500 billion back in the treasury; it won't heal the wounded soldiers or make up for the tens of thousands of Iraqi's Bush & Cheney killed. If the special prosecuter does not come back with important indictments then we should be more vocal and steadfast in resisting these monsters.

putting it mildly

Here's another rumor, but I heard that the "targets" have already been sent letters telling them they should expect bad news from Fitzgerald and, perhaps, the Grand Jury. My sister said she got this from Crooks and Liars. If this is old news to you all, I'm sorry. But I too, am actually home today with a sick five year old, thinking I'd just hang in front of the TV with my popcorn and watch the show! It better happen SOON!!! anger.gif :hexe:
