I see many familiar "faces" from the Kerry forum, and I see many questions about what happened on 9/11 once again being asked, facts disputed, some for the "theory" and some against...so perhaps this will help. (Hi Evdebs, I noticed you mentioned it, but I thought this important enough to start a new thread. )

One man has put it to rest once and for all, in the format of a jury trial, since he is an ex-cop from the LAPD. He is also the man who exposed the CIA/cocaine connection a few decades ago. In close to 700 pages of solid evidence (official testimony, official statements, etc.), and almost 1,000 endnotes, Michael Ruppert has built a case naming Dick Cheney as the prime suspect in his new book "Crossing the Rubicon: The Decline of the American Empire at the End of the Age of Oil". According to Ruppert (using official government documents), Cheney used military drills, carried out on the MORNING OF 9/11, to introduce confusing blips on the ATC's radar screens, so the controllers didn't know what was real and what was a drill. At least one of the five drills simulated AIRPLANES FLYING INTO BUILDINGS IN THE NORTHEAST CORRIDOR. Thus the "stand down" is finally explained.

He also stays far away from the WTC collapse and Pentagon, simply because he knows that anyone can hire any number of "experts" to dispute forensic evidence. And especially since just about all of the evidence was whisked away within a matter of weeks (without investigation!), it can continue to be disputed. So he sticks to only FACTS that can be verified by anyone who bothers to check.

Also, this book was one of the pieces of research given to NY State Attorney General Eliot Spitzer a few weeks ago, with a request to reopen the investigation into 9/11. And if anyone will pursue this case like a hound dog, it is Spitzer. (See www.911truth.org for info on that.)

Now, for those of you who would consider these military drills mere coincidence (and we would refer to you as "coincidence theorists" ), have at it... But for those of us who think this (along with about 40 other "coincidences" surrounding the facts of 9/11) is too strange to be yet another bizarre coincidence...well, this is the final nail in their coffin.

Ptech is the Saudi software company with FAA and intelligence access to those agencies computer systems. Ruppert mentions the PROMIS software but even without that simple access alone through FAA et al would have been enough.

Thanks for the warning....if she's leaving the country, then Ruppert better be close behind (however he has said he's just going to take his chances). I figured if it was on Amazon, it's public enough that certain people who talk about it wouldn't be punished, no?

You have to believe in an amazing bunch of coincidences NOT to believe the 911 hijackers had help, or even if they decided to do it on their own. Help as in OFFICIAL help. What are the chances that they would pick a day when several wargames and exercizes are going on that rendered an successful intercept by air defense extremely unlikely?

How did they know 9/11 skies, air traffic control was saturated with targets, false dummy images , preoccupation with a simulated attack over the Pole and off the coast, a biowarfare emergency in NYC, etc,etc? Good luck, wouldn't you say?
A security protocol that intercepted planes within minutes,(and had done 67 intercepts the year before, most of them benign or not ultimately a threat FAILED to intercept even ONE of four planes?

I don't believe in total incompetence or blaming everything on luck or coincidence. To mess up that badly, the NORAD and defense forces had INSIDE help. If they had gotten one or two planes, their stories would be believable. As it stands they have a lot of explaining of their own to do.

The most interesting and best part of Ruppert's book is it gives motive and opportunity.

Frankly Cheyney, the kindly grandpa, duck hunter and successful executive is the least important part. The group that needed a 9/11, a new Pearl harbor and a reshuffle of the power and control in the Middle East is the more compelling part of the story. It is all about peak oil, and the stop at nothing mentality to protect certain selected billion dollar companies and their owners.

Now that there is 100% proof that this admin was behind the attacks, available for any American who chooses to look, and now that Bush has allegedly been re-elected, and NY A.G. Eliot Spitzer has the citizen's complaint in his hot little hands, what does everyone think will happen?

Do you think Spitzer will investigate? If so, what power does he have to investigate or even prosecute? Do you think Bush & Co. will be able to block it? Can Spitzer subpoena Cheney? Do you think that when the noose tightens, Bush may declare martial law, to squash dissent? Do we have to live with this horrible "secret" for four more years, with no justice being done?

I'm just curious what others may think, especially those of you with more knowledge of constitutional laws, attorney general power, etc.

I tend to believe that 9/11 was an inside job because it would give bush the tool in which to attack Iraq (or so he thinks) and the ability to instill fear on the citizens of this nation. However, how do we explain bin laden taking responsibility, are they in cahoots?

Whats the sense in turning the T.V. on every night to watch our favourite shows.... "Law & Order" and now this new one "Sue Thomas's F. B. Eye". I mean why even bother with any of that at all...

There's obviously no justice in America anymore.... it's a place where only the crooked prosper and the innocent suffer... where would-be gods like Cheney decide when to have another Pearl Harbour and many many innocent men, women and children go off to die in a war of convenience....

The reality of the situation is that the population is not 1/7th the size that it can be.... that is, we can easily support a global populace essentially 7 times what we have on the planet right now. Thats 6 billion times 7 or 42 billion people and still, there would be room for more.... and we have the resources to be able to feed everyone as well and with space technology ever expanding, it's a no brainer to make space travel and space colonies possible.... in fact, nothing is impossible to those who are able to believe and want a better world....

No, the world right now is about to suffer from more ignorance from even more ignorant and very greedy people who are getting off on playing god.... well, here's a scoop for you... your definition of god is no different than anybody elses... sorry, but you do not have a monopoly on "god".... nobody does.... which means you have "no business" playing god with anybody else's life....

the only bright spot i have in all this is that despite dire predictions of 3 & 1/2 years of tribulations and everything else... the future it seems is not fixed in stone... we can just as easily have four years of prosperity as we can of poverty... i do not know how much longer we have to live under the Republican curse, that whenever they are in office, the economy and in effect, everyone suffers... but i know this... that sooner or later even that organization, like all cruel and corrupt organizations in the past will eventually come to pass....

nevertheless, i put it before bush and those who work in that same "secret" organization to aim for a properous economy... nobody says that just because you are Republican that we most definately have to suffer another recesssion.... with a few slight changes in your "hidden adgenda" we can have a much better reality than one where only a select few get richer and the broad populace gets poorer.... there's really no need of that... unless ofcourse this is what you really want to happen...

be wary... the dirty 30's were caused by one man playing god with the stock market.... it can just as easily happen again....

One of, if not the biggest problem with this society is television. People are too interested in whats on TV, rather than in what their Government is doing. That is the purpose of TV, keep the people occupied, while the Government steals, and creates their own fascist paradise. By the time the people wake up, it is too late. At least that is what they think anyway, time will tell.

I would urge you all to see the new film "What the bleep do we know?", a sleeper indy that is starting to make big waves across the nation. It's a bit hard to find since it's not playing in all theaters (friends of mine flew to another state to see it!). Check out their website at www.whatthebleep.com. It's about how quantum physics enables us all to manifest our own realities, using vignettes and a story that is both humorous and sad (starring Marlee Maitlin). That is about the only way I can look at the near future with any optimism.

There is no statute of limitations on murder and accessories to it. Sheeesh, JFK's murder in Dallas was scrubbed clean of anything that mentions Oswald's military record (contracted syphilis 'in line of duty' in Japan and no reprimand on file is what got Jim Garrison's attention along with the Camp Street fun and games). We're hoping to still be around in, what, 2034 when the CIA opens all its records (see the ending of Oliver Stone's movie). Even if Oswald 'acted alone' the stumbling bumbling of the cover ups are amazing if for naught ? I don't think so.

Anyway, we don't trust our government from Nov. 22, 1963 on. We learned not to again August 1964 with the Gulf of Tonkin fabrications. We keep on learning not to trust ... And for good reason it seems.

BTW, I'm about a third though "Crossing the Rubicon" and Ruppert is doing what any good cop would do. A great job. Only wish the Ptech stuff would come out more ... doesn't mention by name that I can see yet but at http://www.madcowprod.com you can look up the Ptech story in the archive.
