I had a thought today while working outside:

Many communities have tributes to battles and wars but very few have tributes to Peace.

What better tribute to peace than a living growing tree? If your community has a lot of open space, suggest a quiet location for it where people can sit and reflect. If you are in an urban environment you may want to add it to a baren city park or lot.

A peace tree that grows for 4 years by 2008 could have a significant effect on people.


I'm not saying that this is all we should do, but at least it is a start.
