The Costs of War

By Cindy Sheehan

A sovereign nation which was no threat to the United States of America lies in ruins and tens of thousands of its innocent citizens have been slaughtered just for the hell of it. When are we going to stand up as a country and yell a collective: "bull-"expletive deleted"?!!" I have been screaming this until my voice is getting hoarse and people are getting sick of hearing it.

Spoken like a true Hero. God Bless Cindy, and every family touched by this insane war.

We hear you, Cindy... your countrymen hear you... and soon the whole world will hear you.

It seems like the Democrats don't really like dissent after all.

Are some demos threatened by Cindy? Is lock step a prerequisite for membership either major political party? Are progressives actually regressive when an independent voice mouths the same words? hummm. I may not agree with all that Cindy says or does but she is a firecracker that I admire and respect more so than the cows pretending to represent the interests of the common working class and impoverished citizens of America.

Back in the sixties, similar things were being said about the Goldwater Republicans, that this was "not the year", or we have to "go along" to win, or we can't rack the boat "right now". Well those people did not back down, and now they are in charge. I say we hijack their strategy and then undermine their philosophy. Or keep losing.
