A Principled And Responsible Withdrawal From Iraq
Based in the principles and policy goals of the Peace in the Precincts Peace Platform.
In the absence of any sort of plan for stopping the violence against Iraq, Minnesota's democratic members of Congress said they would take this group's "exit plan" to Washington and push for its support.
Please share it with your Congressional representatives and senators. We need to do more to stop the bloodshed before we decimate the whole country.

More on Roadmap out of Iraq:
Dear Friends,
We told you that we'd be ready with a plan for bringing peace to Iraq
and a new foreign policy to America November 3rd, no matter what
happened the day before. Sorry for the two day delay.
There are a hundred commentaries out there to read about the election.
Many of them are excellent. We won't add our own, except to say this:
We are immensely proud of our little movement here in Minnesota.
The election was about moral values, defined by a very effective
organizing machine known as the RNC and run by Karl Rove. Through FNVW and
Peace in the Precincts, we built together a foreign policy based on moral
values DEFINED BY YOU!
The election was about national security, defined by a small cabal in
Washington, D.C. and the head-nodders on national T.V. We constructed
and advanced together a peace platform that calls for real national
security based upon principles, policies and priorities DEFINED BY YOU!
The election was about Iraq, concern for troops, security and Iraqi
sovereignty. We built political support together for a peace plan for Iraq
built upon the foundation of values, principles and policies that you
defined.
The election was about turnout. In Minnesota, because of your
contributions, we out-performed them all, and look at the inspiring things that
resulted.
Now, as political leaders and grassroots groups across the country cast
about for a new campaign, our quiet little group of Minnesotans have a
little something to share with the nation.
We can put this Administration off-balance and on the defensive before
the second term even starts.
We can make sure not one iota of its "mandate" goes forward until it
has reckoned with, taken responsibility for and corrected its immoral war
policy in Iraq.
Here's what we're going to do:
Very soon, the President will have to request at least $70 billion in
new appropriations for Iraq.
We'll be ready for him.
Already, we are working with Senator Dayton's office to circulate
talking points based on the Road Map Out of Iraq to Congressmembers and
Senators on the respective appropriations committee.
We are sending these talking points out nationally to grassroots and
non-governmental organizations.
The message is simple:
"The election's over, Mr. President. There's no opponent to pick on any
more. There's no one to compare yourself to. You stand by yourself. And
the fate of Iraq and 138,000 US troops are on your shoulders and your
shoulders alone. You should know that by now. After all, you chose to
put them there.
So far, you've been given a blank check. And look what you've bought
with it: more than 1000 dead Americans; perhaps as many as 100,000 dead
Iraqis; a price tag of $200 billion and counting; a plummeting deficit;
worldwide fear, anger and resentment; and 25 million Iraqis teetering
on the brink of civil war.
It's time for a little accounting. No more election rhetoric. It's time
for results.
Since you are enthusiastic about standards (see No Child Left Behind),
you won't mind that the American people start to hold you to a few.
These aren't arbitrary or frivolous standards. They're what you promised.
They're a matter of life and death.
Here they are:
The Iraqi Sovereignty and Self-Rule Standard
The Support for Our Troops Standard
The Respect for Iraqi Human Rights and Civilian Life Standard
The Administrative Accountability Standard
The Commander-in-Chief Credibililty Standard
And,
The Alliance and International Contribution Standard
When you meet these, we'll grant your appropriations. Until then, to
give you any more money to pour into a mismanaged war would be immoral,
irresponsible and disgraceful."
With talking points in the hands of Congressmembers, Senators, national
grassroots groups and NGO's, print and television media, and with our
relentless efforts to make these standards show up every time the matter
of new appropriations is brought up, we will be able to bind the fate
of President Bush's next four years to reversing his policies in Iraq in
his first several months.
We will be contacting you again soon with the action steps that you can
take. Like everything we've done together, our success depends upon
you.
We promised we'd be ready. We are. There's no time to waste. We begin
the building of a new world today.
With Deepest Respect for All You've Done.
Peace,
Phil Steger

SFC White's roadmap out of Iraq....
Split the country into three... Kurds, Suni's and Shites. Find an authoritarian ruler for each. Have them establish rule of law and security... let Democracy progress at their own pace.
The place never should have been a soveign country from the start... the only thing holding the place together was Saddam's strong arm.
Why are we trying to keep them together now? Cause the Power point rangers in D.C. don't want to splurge for new maps?
