"Lights, Camera, Action!

And we really do mean action. OM has teamed up with weather.com to offer you something we think you will appreciate. You tell us all the time how much you enjoy our photo journal – so we are pretty sure you will REALLY enjoy seeing the migration action live on video!

Since we can’t take you all on migration with us – we thought this would be the next best thing. And there’s more! Soon, you will also find a still image story board that conveys the project’s story in pictures, and - keep an eye out on weather.com for blogs (commentary) by their feature writers.

It is our hope to provide weather.com with new video two or three times a week, so after you’ve made your daily check of our field journal, click on the link to visit their site to catch the “latest show’.

Our ability to continue with the video will in some part be determined by the number of hits as well as the kind of response/comments that both we and weather.com gets. So if you have a minute, please let us/them know your feelings about this venture.

This co-operative effort with weather.com also offers us the potential of reaching a large and whole new audience – an important factor from the standpoint of raising awareness about the Whooping crane project. Given given our tight financial situation this year, it is equally as important in terms of hopefully bringing in new donors and supporters.
