Levy In Limbo After Couple Admits To Voting Twice
http://www.nbc4i.com/politics/3922669/detail.html

LONDON, Ohio -- A vote-counting controversy is keeping the entire London City School District in limbo, NBC 4 reported.

A 1 percent income tax levy for London City Schools failed on Election Day by just one vote. And now, a couple who voted no on the levy admitted to voting twice.

The couple said they first voted via absentee ballots. Then, on Election Day, a poll worker called and told them they weren't on the list of people who had already voted. So they voted again.

Yes, we do! Who knows how many more voted more than once?
Also, I noticed a post in another thread that stated the Diebold machines were not used in Southern Ohio - what was used there to count the punch card ballots were electronic devices that might have been programmed to skip some votes.

A POLL WORKER CALLED ????

This is much deeper than simple vote fraud. Try 'em, convict 'em, fry 'em !

Why would a poll worker call them? It doesnt make sense. I don't know what the election laws are in Ohio, but in Texas, poll workers don't call people to come vote if there name doesnt appear on the list of those who have cast their vote.

However, it is a common practice for a political parties to have poll worker to post the list names of voters at each poll--a rep from each political party will visit each polling site during election day--and call in the names of those who have voted to their party office. Then a call is made to those who dont show up on the lists before the polls close--encouraging those people to get to the polls.

It may be that the couple--thinking their absentee ballot wasn't counted, decided they better cast another vote.
The question will be whether or not the "poll worker" was told they had mailed in an absentee ballot and ecouraged them to vote again. If not, this may have been an innocent mistake.

I believe it probably was an innocent mistake BUT the poll workers at her precinct should have checked to see if they had received the absentee before giving another. So, how many more voted often?

Kicked, because it is funny
