Are folks familiar with the People's E-Mail Network (PEN)?

You can now download easy-to-use, easy-to-install free software that will allow you to speak out directly from your PC to your Senators and Congressman, and your nearest or selected newspaper, on a wide range of issues. Alerts are issued regularly, and you can click on the "ink well" icon and simply go to the web site for updates.

One could read the list of involved organizations....

Or one could keep up with the latest on the NSA and say it doesn't really make a difference, if they're reading our e-mail, how our message gets to Washington.

----
The NSA Spy Engine - Echelon :

A top-secret program code-named Tempest, is capable of reading computer monitors, cash registers and automatic teller machines from as far away as a half-mile and is being used to keep a close eye on an untold number of American citizens, the sources said, pointing to a little known declassified document that sheds light on the program.
