Many of us have been saying since early last summer: when Shrub gives the SOTU speech (next week) the Dems would come out with their version of a Contract with America- and this one is a stroke of genius!

The framework is impeccible! It puts the Republicans in an impossibe box! If they try to offer up anything less than this, they lose, and if they adopt it, we win. It takes whatever weakness exists in our dysfunctional Iraq position(s) completely off the table, and most important, it's easy enough for almost every American to understand. The Abramoff scandal will be with us well into the election season- and will probably get worse- and no Democrats are mired anywhere in that swamp.

This time it's the Republicans who are stuck in the open during a Texas hailstorm: nowhere to run, nowhere to hide.

When Reid was named Minority Leader, really had my doubts, but this guy is a pit bull and don't take bushit from no one!
