Ok, I've about had it with this Blackwell guy.
I don't want to start anything if we shouldn't so
I'll ask for opinions. Should we bombard him with
emails and phone calls until he counts all the ballots?

Here is their website. Ya'll let me know if you think we
should go ahead with a massive phone/email campaign
or wait awhile:

I have been emailing him. I requested last week for you all to do the same. A mod took down the posts because someone keeps putting personally addresses and numbers on it. I've been calling. I hope you all call and email to. I really don't think he is gonna listen. But it never hurts to try.

Ok, someone come up with a general email for us all to copy and send, please.

All I can think of at the moment is "count the damn ballots and stop shredding them!"

Email the news media. Ask "If they are so sure of the results, why are they afraid of a recount?"
Buster0001
Geez, they took down your post?
Here are some email addresses from the site:

you do not count the ballots.  We will bring
a lot of media with us.  We will not give up

What makes you think they are not being counted? Are you referring to the provisional ballots? What proof do you have that they are not being counted?

As for recounts, who says anyone is afraid of recounts? Any candidate can ask for one in Ohio. I believe the fee is about $113,000.
JILLinaz
I emailed him to

Get those votes counted BEFORE the deadline. America is watching. And the world is laughing at our election system. All eyes are on YOU!
Buster0001
Give it up. We are not going to sit back like a bunch
of goldfish this time. WE ARE GOING TO MAKE IT HAPPEN.
JackD
I posted this in the general forum and I hope they pin it. All the major U.S. media outlets and some other organizations are listed for contact.

Ummm... make WHAT happen?? What am I missing?

Are the provisionals not being counted?

Is there not going to be a recount, after December 7th, as requested by Cobb/Badnarik, as long as they pay the fee?

What are you trying to make happen?

I am confused.
Buster0001
I've emailed all of them. Post this stuff on every site you can.
Blackwell has to know that we aren't going down this easy.
NiteOwl
Yes... we should call him.

The real question is... WHAT should we call him.

Joking a little... but yes, we should hammer him for his unabashed partisan trampling of our democracy. No mercy.
Dyan
What has he done this time?

Btw, did anyone (anyone official, I mean) file objections or complain when Blackwell announced new rules last week that any provisional ballot that didn't have the voter's date of birth on the envelope would be tossed? I REALLY wish that some of those voters would do something. After all, it's their votes being discarded.

Call him! smile.gif

I can picture this conversation:

ANGRYCALLER: Stop trampling our democracy and count are votes!!!

BLACKWELL: Uh, we are.

ANGRYCALLER: No you aren't! You need to count every vote!

BLACKWELL: Well, we are counting all of the ballots according to Federal guidelines.

ANGRYCALLER: You aren't counting ones without birthdates!

BLACKWELL: Uh, yes, we are. That ruling was reversed.

ANGRYCALLER: Well, OK, then! But, we want a recount!

BLACKWELL: OK, but we have to finish the COUNT before we can do a re-COUNT

ANGRYCALLER: Uh... uh... well... I guess I told you!!!

BLACKWELL: (chuckles) you sure did.

heheh... Sorry, but I am not sure what good calling him or emailing is going to do. Are they not doing everything they possible can do right now?

Of course, actually, the conversation would really go like this:

UNKNOWNVOICE: Thank you for calling the office of the Ohio Secretary of State...

ANGRYCALLER: Hello?!? Hello?!? Mr. Blackwell?!?

UKNOWNVOICE: If you have a complaint, please leave a message after the tone... (BEEP!)

ANGRYCALLER: Dammit!.... (long pause) Blackwell! Count our votes! Well, by *our*, I mean the ones in Ohio because I am not actually a citizen of Ohio... ummm... but, well, just do it!

Sorry I got excited and replied before the post was ready. I know this is a little off topic, but I can't start a thread yet and I wanted to let everyone know Bev Harris has updated in General Discussion @ DU. Big news about finding records from election in trash in FL.

I am not sure I understand the issue there either. In Volusia county, I mean.

The only info I found had to do with some memory cards being bad.

Kerry won that county though....... ????

The election officials had thrown away the original polling tapes from the machines and were trying to pass off unsigned ones. Bev caught them and they have a film crew with them, so hopefully it is all in living color.

No, I understand that and that is messed up. I mean, even if the data was originally wrong or something and was corrected with new tapes, they would HAVE to keep the previous ones.

But, actually, I was wondering what led Bev, et al. to Volusia county in the first place?

And, Buster0001, thanks for actually taking the time to answer my question!!!!!! Riiiiight!!!! I actually was curious about this and you simply dismissed me.

I emailed the following last Friday...

Re: - Thank you for your contribution to the new banana republic!
Dear Mr Blackwell,

You can take great pride in playing such a key role in the demise of democracy in America.

As a non-U.S. citizen I am having one hell of a laugh over Mr Bush’s declaration that freedom is on the march. It may be on the march in Afghanistan and Iraq but not at home – and obviously not in Ohio.

I’m sure you talents could be put to good use during the upcoming elections in Iraq. All you need is the instruction as to who should win.

OBL must be happy with your efforts in America’s transition from hyperpower to banana republic. On the other hand, when your time comes, Martin Luther King, will likely turn you away from the pearly gates.

Well done old boy!!!

Cheerio!

Keep the pressure up everyone! Give the b*st*rds responsible HELL!!!!
Buster0001
JackD posted this contact list. I suggest everyone contact them
and say we want an audit of every state's machine votes.
Or whatever you think we should say!
