american flag 2.0
The premise: the war in/occupation of iraq has 2 types of domestic consequences.
1. the stock of companies that deal with petroleum, government contracts, insurance, etc. increases in value
2. lots of flag-draped coffins arrive at Dover AFB and elsewhere, under a media blackout
i took a one month snapshot of US Casualties from the month of Sept. 2004,
and juxtaposed them with NYSE stock values from Oct. 1.
and the result, while dizzying, is a pretty clear picture of 'the state of the american empire'.
i'm looking for feedback and/or suggestions from all you nice ppl.
