Saw this item glaring out at me from DU's front page. I have no idea if the source is reliable or not. All unnamed sources, but it wouldn't suprise me if it's true.

A source inside the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation told Insider magazine that Florida Gov. Jeb Bush has ordered the shredding of documents and public records, a clear violation of Florida law.
The department has oversight and approval of state gaming licensees, slot machines, dog and horse tracks, and jai-alai games.

The source, who asked to remain anonymous, said the governor also has brought in personnel from Texas to replace key members of his staff in Tallahassee. The Texans are overseeing the destruction of state documents, according to the source.

A source in the FBI confirmed that public records are being destroyed on orders of Jeb Bush. The source said the governor may have taken that action in response to the continuing criminal probe of Republican lobbyist Jack Abramoff and the federal investigation of the 2001 gangland murder in Miami of Gus Boulis, owner of the Sun Cruz casino boat.

I have no clue as to the source, but the gist of the story would not surprise me.
Jeb recently allowed a large number of Floridians who were taken off of Medicaid and shuffled into the Medicare fiasco go back to Medicaid. This was a political ploy- the man is up to something. I smell a rat- or a future candidate.

If it's true then someone is very afraid and in panic mode. He can cover his tracks but destroying the documents can send him to prison for a long time.

It's a remarkable trait in the family! One and the same when it comes to ethics! Now, who dares disclaim that behavioral flaws are not decended down from family to family.

The more generations that engage in that kind of behavior just ingrains it deeper in their genetic code. Just like chickens are hatched knowing how to eat.......

It's a trait that has a high survival value, like venom in snakes. He who shreds todays, lives to steal another day. Unfortunately, Darwinian selection knows no morality.
